The September / Annual Meeting of the Bayfield-Ashland Counties EMS Council was called to order by Dean Hambrecht, President of the Council. The meeting was held at The Pub Restaurant on Madeline Island.

Motion made by Teresa Gunderson, seconded by Amanda Victorson, to dispense with the reading of the minutes of the August meeting. Motion carried.

TREASURER REPORT Chuck Elton reported that we currently have $4062.77 in the treasury. We will have an additional $2750 for medical director payment by the end of the year. He has received a bill from Advantix for $150, the first of the quarterly payments for the Council website. Gene Miller will be billing the Council for his website development time at $600. Chuck will be billing services participating in the schedule portion of the website the initial participation fee of $150.

Motion made by Dan Clark, seconded by Teresa Gunderson, to approve the treasurers report. Motion carried.

WEBSITE Marcia Swanson expressed some concern that the scheduling component of the website does not add up the hours. Gene has stated he is working on that. The information on the call schedule is lost after the day.

MEDICAL DIRECTOR Dean Hambrecht reported that we currently have two physicians interested in the medical director position, Dr. John Schrock of Brule (SMDC Urgent Care and medical director for Gold Cross Ambulance) and Dr. Kathy Gang (Main Street Clinic, Ashland). Merrilee mentioned that Cindy Hart of Chequamegon Clinic may also be interested. Officers will be meeting to finalize questions and concerns then conduct interviews with interested candidates.

BAYFIELD APPLE FESTIVAL Bill Andresen requested insurance coverage related to the EMS system for the Bayfield Apple Festival, October 7th thru 9th.

Motion made by Bill Andresen, seconded by Dan Clark, to accept the request from Bayfield Ambulance for the Apple Festival EMS. Motion carried.

ELECTION OF OFFICERS Officers were asked if they are willing to continue serving.

Motion made by Dan Clark, seconded by Amanda Victorson, to cast a unanimous ballot for the current officers, President Dean Hambrecht, Vice-President Gary Victorson, Secretary Jan Victorson, and Treasurer Chuck Elton, to serve another term. Motion carried.

NEXT MEETING The next meeting of the Council will be held on October 27th at MMC/Ashland.
